Emre is the co-founder and CEO of Steth.ai and Medical Information Technology Solutions (MITS). Together with Deniz, Emre founded MITS in 2009, and the company has built many successful and profitable products since then.

 

VIME (Virtual Medical Events and Environments) is a customizable 3D virtual event platform that was used in countless marketing and CME projects by the biggest pharma companies in the world, including Pfizer, GSK, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, and many others (www.facebook.com/MITSvirtual contains pictures of past projects in the images section). VIME projects have bestowed MITS with many national and global awards.

 

In parallel, MITS has always been deeply imbued in research. MITS has been the Data Mining and IT Work Package leader in a  5-year European Union FP7 project, EUTRAF, with a very large European consortium, as part of which it has used AI methods to mine a database of 650,000 patients diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (AF) in the Turkish Social Security Database. The Decision Support System built based on the results of this study have changed the status quo in anticoagulation in AF.

 

To date, MITS has completed over 30 commercial projects, and more than 10 national and international grant projects. MITS has recently built the first turnkey online medical second opinion platform GeneCIS, currently runs the largest online CME platform in Turkey. ekardiyo.com, manages large grant projects by such bodies as Pfizer, and serves global clients such as Mundipharma Middle East. Emre has also created and taught undergraduate and MBA level courses on Lean Technology Entrepreneurship in Bogazici University and Bilkent University.
